DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop, monitor and implement the organization’s health and safety policy
2. Perform overall duties of safety and health officer as per the occupational safety and health act 2005
3. Responsible for all compliance issues and/or concerns within the organisation as defined and warranted by international stakeholders and partners
4. Manage, plan, develop, review, recommend and update quality systems, policies and practices to ensure all business unit’s activities are in compliance with the company’s and the relevant regulatory requirements.
5. Train employees of relevant department for the purpose of compliance and safety and health issues as required.
6. Work in collaboration and establish prompt liaison with the human resource department, engineers, compliance officers and other units, as appropriate.
7. Ensure the organization is compliant with health and safety legislation and regulations such as PPE at work , Working at Height , First Aid Regulation , Nosie at Work , Lift Regulation
8. Reduce or prevent hazards, dangers and accidents.
9. Develop, implement and maintain an effective program and ensure compliance to satisfy the requirements of Occupational Safety and Act 2005 and regulations
10. Develop systems to ensure all employees comply with all relevant legal safety requirements
11. Identify safety training needs, organise and co-ordinate safety training courses and prepare training material where appropriate
12. Co-ordinate the safety committees meetings
13. Evaluate incident forms, surveys, audits to establish root causes and together with Supervisors and Managers concerned, formulate a plan of action to correct non-compliant behaviour or conditions
14. Liaise with on-site contractors to ensure their compliance with Company safety regulations and adherence to safety standards, including basic safety induction training
15. Conduct surveys and audits as required to identify and minimise the risk to company and employees
16. Identify unsafe acts, conditions, and hazards, investigate root causes and identify corrective and preventative actions and report to management
17. Co-ordinate at least two evacuation exercises (Fire Drill) per year to ensure that all staff become familiar with these procedures.
18. Assist with the formulation of emergency/contingency plans for:
    – Natural disasters
    – Industrial action
    – Political unrest
    – Fire
    – Explosions
    – Review and update Emergency Procedures as and when necessary

1. Gather all necessary reports and detailed support both periodically and on-demand, including balance sheets, profit and loss statement, revenue forecasts budgets, and cash-flow statement
2. Handle AP, verifying payment documentation referencing outstanding bills, updating debt balance, and conduction disbursement
3. Review and reconcile the general ledger, identifying and thoroughly investigating any discrepancies and taking the proper corrective actions to resolve them
4. Conduct month-end quarter-end, and year-end close processes to verify all entries have been created and posted, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and cohesiveness of information
5. Prepare Bank reconciliation reports
6. Responsible for accounts payable and receivable
